See Dacre Montgomery Turn Into MCU Wolverine To Replace Hugh Jackman

He leaves Angel Grove and Hawkins behind for the MCU.

A new concept design imagines Power Rangers and Stranger Things star Dacre Montgomery as Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine successor for the MCU.

Fans last saw Dacre Mongomery terrorizing the heroes of Hawkins in Netflix’s Stranger Things season three, but this concept design shows the star becoming a new version of Wolverine for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Mongomery’s casting would be an interesting step away from Hugh Jackman, but he’s already shown that he can add fascinating layers to complex characters. It’s still not clear how or when mutants will be introduced into the MCU, but the new art shows Montgomery revelling in the moody role of Wolvrine.

The design from digital artist BossLogic shows off what a poster for Dacre Montgomery’s Wolverine film could look like, revealing the star wielding the iconic Adamantium claws. The artwork uses the same logo for The Wolverine, which starred Hugh Jackman. When the hero makes his MCU debut, it’ll be interesting to see how Logan deals with the existence of the Avengers, Asgardians and other aliens alongside mutants. Dacre Montgomery would be a perfect choice to explore new elements to the character that fans haven’t seen in live-action before. Take a look at the actor replacing Hugh Jackman in the role below.

Would you like to see Dacre Montgomery become the MCU’s Wolverine? Who else should pick up the claws from Hugh Jackman? How should Marvel Studios introduce a new version of the mutant? Comment below and let us know!
