See Taron Egerton Turn Into MCU Wolverine To Replace Hugh Jackman

He suits the claws!

A new image sees Taron Egerton transforming into Wolverine for the MCU to replace Hugh Jackman as the legendary mutant.

As fans eagerly await the next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Black Widow, many are wondering what the next big threat will be for the Avengers – as well as any other heroes waiting in the wings. Marvel’s Kevin Feige previously teased that the X-Men are on the horizon after Disney acquired Fox, so it’s only a matter of time until some of the most marvellous mutants make their debut in the MCU. It wouldn’t be surprising if Marvel Studios casts the heroes a little younger in an attempt to get plenty of movies out of them. One candidate often discussed as a replacement for Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is Kingsman star Taron Egerton.

A new design from ‘Mizuriau’ on Instagram sees Taron Egerton as Wolverine in the MCU, but takes its cues from Hugh Jackman’s iconic version of the hero. Alongside the long hair and trimmed beard, Egerton is seen in the image sporting Jackman’s leather jacket which became synonymous with the character. The art obviously gives the star the Adamantium claws and a few deep cuts on his face to match Logan’s brawling nature. When it comes to casting the mutant, the Kingsman and Rocketman star would definitely be a good pick for the role. Take a look at Taron Egerton replacing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine below.
