Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 Final Trailer Sets Netflix Return

Netflix has shared the final trailer for Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1, the highly anticipated final installment of the hit sci-fi drama. The show is scheduled to make its return on November 26 with four episodes. It will then be followed by Volume 2 with three episodes dropping on Christmas, while the series finale will premiere on New Year’s Eve.

“The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding,” reads the Season 5 synopsis. “As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.”

What happens in the Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 trailer?

The video teases the insane plan that Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Will have created to finally defeat Vecna once and for all. It also provides fans with a glimpse of the potential team-ups that will happen in Volume 1, including Dustin partnering with Steve again and Robin working with Murray for the first time. The trailer continues to highlight the suspense-filled challenges they’ll face during the first four episodes of the final season.

Stranger Things Season 5 stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Winona RyderDavid Harbour, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, and Brett Gelman. It will also feature the return of Season 4 cast members Jamie Campbell Bower as Vecna/One/Henry Creel and Amybeth McNulty as Vickie. Joining them are new cast members, Terminator vet Linda Hamilton as Dr. Kay, Nell Fisher as Holly Wheeler, Jake Connelly as Derek Turnbow, and Alex Breaux as Lt. Akers.
