The long-awaited anime has officially stepped into the spotlight with its very first teaser, thrilling fans of the hit psychological manga. Based on the popular Japanese series written by Demunyan and illustrated by Daisuki Tansan, the anime adaptation marks a major milestone for the intense, finance-driven story that blends emotional tension with high-risk decision-making.

FX Fighter Kurumi-chan anime series announced with teaser and visuals

After months of speculation, Kadokawa confirmed that the FX Fighter Kurumi chan anime will debut in 2026. The announcement arrived alongside the first teaser and initial visuals on Monday, January 19, giving anime enthusiasts a glimpse into Kurumi’s volatile world. The reveal immediately sparked buzz online, especially among fans eager to see how the manga’s nerve-wracking inner monologues and market chaos translate to animation.

The newly released FX Fighter Kurumichan teaser opens with Kurumi Fukuka carefully monitoring her foreign exchange trading app. At first, she appears optimistic as the numbers climb. However, the mood shifts dramatically when the market crashes, wiping out gains in seconds.

The story follows Kurumi, a college student who enters the foreign exchange market to recover 20 million yen her late mother lost through trading. Believing she can reclaim the money quickly, Kurumi dives headfirst into a ruthless financial battlefield where fortunes reverse in moments. Unrealized losses, forced sell-offs, and relentless pressure test her mental limits. As she joins other so-called FX fighters, Kurumi becomes entangled in a high-stakes money game where charts swing violently, and confidence can vanish overnight.

The manga originally launched in Kadokawa’s Comic Flapper magazine in February 2021 and has steadily grown a loyal readership. Kadokawa is set to release the ninth manga volume in Japan on January 22, further building momentum ahead of the anime’s arrival.

The FX Fighter Kurumi chan anime boasts a strong creative team. Yuki Ogawa, known for Mieruko-chan and Miru Tights, directs the series at Studio Passione. Kenta Ihara oversees series scripts, while Kazuyuki Ueda handles character designs. Voice actress Aina Suzuki stars as Kurumi Fukuka.

With its first teaser now live, the FX Fighter Kurumi chan anime is shaping up to be a gripping blend of psychological drama and financial warfare.
