The latest photos from the Tomb Raider set reveal Sophie Turner in action as Lara Croft. Tomb Raider is a TV show for Prime Video based on the popular action-adventure video game franchise.
What do the Tomb Raider set photos show?
Several set photos of Turner as Croft have been shared on X. In a series of photos shared by AP Pop Culture, Turner completes a parachute stunt over water. After the stunt, Croft is seen wearing a tactical suit, with weapons stationed on both hips.
In a video shared by @InfinityTRaider, Turner is seen walking through the woods after completing the stunt.
Tomb Raider is now in production. The series stars Turner as Lara Croft, the ambitious archaeologist and adventurer. Tomb Raider’s cast includes Martin Bobb-Semple as Zip, Lara’s tech-support friend; Jason Isaacs as Atlas DeMornay, Lara’s uncle; Bill Paterson as Winston, the Croft family butler; and Sigourney Weaver as Evelyn Wallis, a mysterious woman with an eye for Lara’s talents.
Tomb Raider also stars Jack Bannon as Gerry, John Heffernan as David, Celia Imrie as Francine, Paterson Joseph as Thomas Warner, Sasha Luss as Sasha, Juliette Motamed as Georgia, and August Wittgenstein as Lukas.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the creator, writer, and executive producer of Tomb Raider. The action show is Waller’s return to television after her work on the Emmy-winning hits Fleabag and Killing Eve. Waller-Bridge will be a co-showrunner on Tomb Raider alongside executive producer Chad Hodge. Jonathan Van Tulleken is attached as a director and executive producer.
Amazon MGM Studios, Crystal Dynamics, Wells Street Films, Story Kitchen, and Legendary Television are executive producers on Tomb Raider.
There have been several feature film adaptations of Tomb Raider, most notably starring Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft. Jolie appeared in 2001’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and 2003’s The Cradle of Life. Alicia Vikander starred in the 2018 Tomb Raider reboot.
