Stranger Things is returning with a new Netflix project expanding the Hawkins universe. The release dives into behind-the-scenes details from all five seasons of the hit series. It offers fans a closer look at the show’s world, cast, and creative process. The project also highlights rare material from production and character development across its run.

Stranger Things gets a companion book for all five seasons

As per Tudum, Netflix is giving fans a deeper look at Stranger Things with a new official companion book titled The Official Story Behind the Legendary Series. The release acts as a full guide to the show’s five-season journey and focuses on expanding the world built around Hawkins, Indiana.

Fans will also find pieces of the script alongside behind-the-scenes thoughts from the cast, writers, and directors. It also shows how the series came together with concept art, storyboards, costume designs, and maps of key locations. Joe Keery even looks back on filming his Season 1 showdown with the Demogorgon, calling it one of his favorite memories from the show. On top of that, hidden codes unlock extra bonus content, making it a fun pick for longtime fans who love a good dose of Stranger Things nostalgia.

The book is available exclusively through Target. This will include a foreword from creators Matt and Ross Duffer along with interviews from cast members who helped shape the series over the years. Alongside that, it brings a large set of production stills that revisit key moments from the show’s timeline.

The Stranger Things universe, created by the Duffer Brothers, first premiered in 2016. It follows a group of kids in Hawkins who uncover secret government experiments and a dangerous parallel dimension known as the Upside Down.

On Rotten Tomatoes, Season 1 holds a 97% critics’ score, Season 2 stands at 94%, while Seasons 3 and 4 both sit around 89%, reflecting a slight drop as the story expanded. The concluding season 5 holds a score of 82%.  Overall, the series holds an IMDb rating of 8.6/10.
