Johnathan Bailey and Colman Domingo‘s fantasy movie is finally available on Netflix. The movie was a blockbuster and crossed the 100 million at the box office. Fans and subscribers can now catch up with the 2025 hit movie on the streamer.
Jonathan Bailey and Colman Domingo’s fantasy movie hits Netflix today
Wicked: For Good, starring Johnathan Bailey and Colman Domingo, is available for streaming on Netflix from July 20, 2026. It was released following the massive success of its first part, Wicked, which is also available for streaming on the platform.
The first installment earned $758.7 million globally on an estimated budget of $145 million. The second movie was released a year later and also became a massive hit. It was created on a budget of $150 million and grossed $540 million worldwide.
Although Wicked received an 88% score on Rotten Tomatoes, its sequel received a lower score, earning only 66% on the Tomatometer. Part 2 of the franchise follows the ending of the first film, where Elphaba leaves the Emerald City.
The synopsis for Wicked: For Good reads, “Elphaba, now demonized as The Wicked Witch of the West, lives in exile, while continuing her fight for the freedom of Oz’s silenced Animals and desperately trying to expose the truth about The Wizard. Glinda, meanwhile, has become the glamorous symbol of Goodness for all of Oz, living in Emerald City and reveling in the perks of fame and popularity. As an angry mob rises against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba will need to come together one final time.”
Both movies are helmed by Jon M. Chu, from a screenplay by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox based on Gregory Maguire’s novel.
Apart from Bailey and Domingo, the cast also includes Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode, Bowen Yang, Bronwyn James, Keala Settle, and Bethany Weaver.
It is produced by Marc Platt and David Stone. Alongside Fox and Holzman, executive producers include Jared LeBoff, David Nicksay, Stephen Schwartz, Jeremy Johns, and the co-producer Joan Schneider.
