
Marvel‘s most-watched TV show has been greenlit for a new season by Disney+. The announcement was made during the Celebrate 65 Years of Marvel’s Spider-Man! panel at the D23 Expo.
With nearly 1.3 billion hours streamed on Disney+, Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends has been renewed for another season. This will be the seventh season of the longest-running Spider-Man series overall.
The announcement was made by Alyssa Sapire, head of Disney Jr., Original Programming and Strategy, at the Expo. The show follows the adventures of Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, and Miles Morales as they team up with superheroes to defeat foes and learn that teamwork is the best way to save the day.
Seasons one through four are available to stream on Disney+. Season 5 is currently airing and has had the strongest start of any new season since Season 1. The sixth season is set to premiere in 2027. This will be followed by Season 7 in 2028.
Harrison Wilcox, Bart Jennett, and Chris Moreno are executive producers of the show. Becca Topol serves as co-executive producer and editor. Steve Grover is the supervising producer. The Grammy Award-nominated musician Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy is the songwriter/composer. The musician will also collaborate on a Disney+ Halloween special.
Disney+ sets a Halloween team-up with new villains and original songs
During the D23 Panel, a first look at Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up! special was also shown. Here, it was revealed that Stump, along with another Grammy Award-nominated musician, Este Haim of HAIM, will voice the characters Jack O’Lantern and Hallows Eve.
These two characters are the new villains of the Halloween special. Moreover, the singers wrote two songs for this special, which will be released by Walt Disney Records on August 16, 2026, on all digital platforms.
Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up! is slated to premiere on Thursday, September 24, 2026. This will be available on Disney Jr. and Disney Jr. on Demand, and will stream the next day on Disney+.
