James Gunn recently teased fans about Peacemaker Season 3. The future of the HBO Max series remains uncertain. Peacemaker Season 2 ended with Christopher Smith in huge trouble. Gunn previously said another season wasn’t currently planned.
However, a recent response has given fans some hope. A fan asked Gunn about the possibility of Season 3 on Threads. Instead of giving a clear answer, Gunn replied with one emoji. He responded with a thinking-face emoji, leaving fans guessing.
The response does not confirm Season 3 is happening. Still, it sounds more positive than previous updates. For now, the third season remains unconfirmed. John Cena has also previously expressed interest in returning.
He also wants to put the Peacemaker helmet back on. However, Cena said the decision ultimately belongs to Gunn. A few weeks ago, reports revealed that Peacemaker Season 3 is not currently planned.
