Peacock adds Linda Hamilton & Nathan Fillion’s beloved science fiction TV show with alien chaos, small-town comedy, and a cast filled with familiar genre stars.
Starting today, all four seasons of Resident Alien stream on Peacock. Based on the Dark Horse comic book series by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, the show stars Alan Tudyk as an alien who crash-lands near the small town of Patience, Colorado. The alien takes the identity of local doctor Harry Vanderspeigle while trying to complete his original mission to destroy humanity. However, living among humans gradually forces him to question his views on people, morality, and his own purpose.
The series features Terminator star Hamilton as General Eleanor McCallister, a military leader heading a secret operation focused on finding extraterrestrial life. Fillion, Tudyk’s former Firefly co-star, provides the voice of 42, a telepathic octopus living in a restaurant aquarium who becomes one of Harry’s unusual companions.

Hamilton’s role gives the actress a chance to move away from the serious action roles that made her famous. General McCallister begins as a determined military figure who wants to locate alien technology and stop any potential threat.
Her story eventually changes as the danger facing Earth becomes larger, forcing McCallister into an uneasy relationship with Harry and other characters. The role also allows Hamilton to play the character with a dry sense of humor that fits the show’s mix of science fiction and comedy.
Fillion’s 42 provides another connection to Tudyk’s Firefly past, while the rest of the main cast includes Sara Tomko as nurse Asta Twelvetrees, Corey Reynolds as Sheriff Mike Thompson, Alice Wetterlund as D’Arcy Bloom, and Levi Fiehler as Mayor Ben Hawthorne.
With all four seasons now available, Resident Alien joins Peacock’s September additions, including Mr. Mercedes and Scare Tactics, gives subscribers a full series to binge before Halloween.
