BATMAN: CAPED CRUSADER | S2E5: “The Spectral Hand” Podcast/Review

The Batman mostly watches from the shadows—he’s almost a supporting character here—trying to understand whether this resurrected Corrigan is a monster or a man working his way toward grace. The emotional center lands with Barbara Gordon, whose history with Corrigan (S1E7 “Moving Target”) gives the episode its weight. Their final encounter is unexpectedly tender, grounding the horror in something human. Actually, it was touchingly sad.

It’s spooky, stylish, and just weird enough to stand out—another example of how this series isn’t afraid to push Gotham into darker corners—but done much better than the previous season’s two supernatural stories.

And maybe, just maybe, The Batman is also inching closer to humanity and the ability to connect with other humans. – Bill “Jett” Ramey
