
Via a press release from DC Studios/Warner Bros. Animation to BOF, JOKER: LAUGH RIOT the first-ever anime DC series. Here’s the official description:
When Batman is murdered, The Joker launches a ruthless crusade through Gotham’s underworld to find the killer who took away his greatest adversary. But as his violent quest for answers pushes him closer towards vigilante than villain, The Joker is forced to confront the truth that without Batman, he doesn’t know who he is.
JOKER: LAUGH RIOT is listed as have been given the “Greenlight”. Jim Krieg serves as executive producer with Yashuhuro Aoki directing and coming from Warner Bros. Animation, DC Studios, and SOLA Entertainment. The network that it will air is TBA.
Batman-adjacent, but “Batman” nonetheless, right? So, I post it here on BOF.

I’m not an anime fan. I’m also not a fan of “Batman’s Dead” stories. So, I don’t know if this series is a good idea. But maybe it’s released on a network and targeted to an audience where it’ll be appreciated and accepted. We’ll see. – “Jett”
