Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition is not longer available for purchase on PC just a day after its official launch.
As noted by Eurogamer, the PC version of the highly-anticipated remaster of the game is currently not for sale through Rockstar’s website. Every other version of the game, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch, is still purchasable. It’s possible that the game was removed from sale due to issues with the Rockstar Games Launcher, which is currently offline. It’s believed that the Launcher was causing problems with GTA: The Trilogy, often rendering the seminal open-world games unplayable.
Rockstar Games issued a brief statement on the outage, tweeting, “Services for the Rockstar Games Launcher and supported titles are temporarily offline for maintenance. Services will return as soon as maintenance is completed.” This message was later followed up with another tweet that reads, “We thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to work on restoring services for the Rockstar Games Launcher and supported titles.” The developer has yet to provide another update on when Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition will return to PC.
