Idris Elba Isn’t Convinced Thanos’ Fully Killed Heimdall | CBR

The stakes had been raised in Avengers: Infinity War, as audiences expected major losses and the film more than delivered. He’s not wrong, Heimdall has been through a lot throughout his few appearances, including a war against the Dark Elves, guiding the Asgardians from Hela and being frozen by Frost Giants.

“The Heimdall character goes way back into, you know, the Thor mythology…” Elba added. “And I’m sure there will be an interesting way to bring that alive.”

There are clear plans to bring Vision back for the upcoming Disney+ series Wandavision, although whether that entails an actual resurrection remains unclear. All the same, if Vision can come back after having his mind ripped out, it seems plausible that Heimdall could return from his intergalactic grave.
