Andy Serkis’s MCU character first appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Black Panther star Andy Serkis will be returning as Klaw in Marvel’s animated series What If…?
Andy Serkis made his Marvel Cinematic Universe as Klaw in Avengers: Age of Ultron, where he provided Ultron with stolen vibranium. Serkis later returned as Klaw in Marvel’s Black Panther, where he joined Killmonger to infiltrate Wakanda once again. Unfortunately for Klaw, Killmonger shot the arms dealer, ending his run in the MCU. However, the character is poised to return in Marvel’s first animated series What If…?
Marvel’s What If…? imagines and fleshes out hypothetical scenarios taking place in the MCU, such as what if Black Panther T’Challa was taken in by Yondu instead of Peter Quill? Or what if Peggy Carter was given the super-soldier serum? Each episode is set to explore a distinct and unique hypothetical what-if scenario. Taking to Instagram, Andy Serkis teased his return as the Black Panther character in an upcoming What If…? episode. Details are slim regarding which scenario he’d appear in, though it is likely that he’d appear in the Killmonger scenario which sees the soldier saving Tony Stark.
