Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon adds Charlie Hunnam, Ray Fisher, Djimon Hounsou, and Bae Doona to its cast.
Rebel Moon marks Zack Snyder’s next film for Netflix following the hit film Army of the Dead. The idea for the Rebel Moon comes from a rejected pitch Snyder had for a Seven Samurai-inspired Star Wars film years ago. With filming approaching, Netflix has revealed Rebel Moon will feature Charlie Hunnam, Ray Fisher, Djimon Hounsou, and Bae Doona.
Charlie Hunnam, Ray Fisher, Djimon Hounsou, and Bae Doona join Sofia Boutella, who will play Belisarius, Jena Malone, Staz Nair, E. Duffy, Charlotte Maggi, and Sky Yang. In addition to the casting announcements, Zack Snyder also shared some new Rebel Moon concept art that you can check out below.
Rebel Moon will notably see Ray Fischer reunite with Zack Snyder, who first worked together on Justice League. Here is the film’s synopsis:
In ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League is available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and streaming exclusively on HBO Max. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
