Dwayne Johnson suits up as Black Adam and joins Zachary Levi’s Shazam in this awesome new image that imagines the future of the DCEU.
Dwayne Johnson is set to make his debut as Black Adam in the DCEU in his very own standalone film. Producer Hiram Garcia recently revealed that production on the project should begin by the end of next year. DC Films plans to introduce Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam in his own solo outing before pitting the character against Zachary Levi’s Shazam in a Shazam! sequel. While it may be a while before we see Dwayne Johnson join Zachary Levi in a Shazam! sequel, that’s not enough to stop fans from imagining what the two actors will eventually look like opposite one another. Here’s the synopsis for Shazam!:
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).
Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans and Djimon Hounsou.
Shazam! is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Dwayne Johnson, Zachary Levi, Black Adam, and the Shazam! sequel!
