‘Jurassic World: Dominion’: First Still Shows Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire Deep In Trouble

The first still from Jurassic World: Dominion shows Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire in deep trouble.

Jurassic World: Dominion is finally set to hit cinemas later next year. The last time we visited Jurassic World was in Fallen Kingdom when the dinosaurs were unleashed into the world, ready to terrorize our peaceful lives. Besides a prologue that showcased the early days of the dinosaurs, it’s been radio silence from the Universal franchise.

Now, a brand new still of Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire has been released, which shows the character deep in trouble. The still, which comes from Total Film Magazine’s 2022 preview issue, sees Claire neck-deep in a murky swamp as a dinosaur looms behind her.

The upcoming threequel will also see the return of Jurassic Park leads Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neil. Speaking with the magazine, director Colin Trevorrow opened up about how the OG leads will be featured prominently in Dominion.

“Laura, Sam, and Jeff have as much screentime in the film as Bryce and Chris do. They’re not together the entire time, but we are following both of their stories equally, and you have a sense that they’re going to collide at a certain point… there’s this tension. It’s not structured necessarily in a way that we’re used to seeing our Hollywood movies structured. But it works.”

Here is the synopsis for the last film in the franchise, Fallen Kingdom:

Three years after the destruction of the Jurassic World theme park, Owen Grady and Claire Dearing return to the island of Isla Nublar to save the remaining dinosaurs from a volcano that’s about to erupt. They soon encounter terrifying new breeds of gigantic dinosaurs, while uncovering a conspiracy that threatens the entire planet.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is available to own on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD, while Dominion will hit theaters on June 10, 2022.
