‘Loki’ Season 2 Eyeing Production Start This Summer In UK

Loki will reportedly film its second season this summer in the United Kingdom at Pinewood Studios.

So far, the only live-action Marvel Studios show on Disney Plus that we know is getting a second season is Loki since it was revealed at the end of the season one finale. Since the last Loki episode aired last summer, not much has been revealed beyond Kate Heron not returning to direct. Heron directed every episode of Loki‘s first season.

According to Backstage, Loki is gearing up to begin filming for its second season this summer at Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom, after shooting in Atlanta for season one. Loki‘s first season ended with the MCU debut of Kang the Conqueror after Sylvie killed He Who Remains.

Loki season two probably won’t premiere until 2023, but Tom Hiddleston will reportedly return as the God of Mischief in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse this year. Here is the synopsis for Loki’s next appearance:

In Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

Directed by Sam Raimi from a script written by Michael Waldron, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stuhlbarg, Rachel McAdams, and Tom Hiddleston.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters on May 6, 2022, while Loki season one is now streaming on Disney Plus.
