Marvel’s ‘Shang-Chi and The Legend Of The Ten Rings’ Is Certified Fresh On Rotten Tomatoes

Marvel’s latest installment in its cinematic universe, Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings is now certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

Since Iron Man first debuted back in 2008, most installments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been well received by fans and critics. The only real outliers to this were The Incredible Hulk and Thor: The Dark World but both proved to be the exception rather than the rule. Now Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings is another film certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

Like many other films, Shang-Chi saw a number of delays thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic. Early reactions to the film praised the fight choreography and family dynamic. Heroic Hollywood’s own review calls the film Marvel’s most emotionally resonant solo film and other critics seem to agree. As of this writing, the film currently holds a 92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 96 reviewers. The critical consensus notes that it does not break free from the Marvel formula but expands the MCU in many ways:

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings isn’t entirely free of Marvel’s familiar formula, but this exciting origin story expands the MCU in more ways than one.
