Charlie Hunnam aims for the DCEU.
A new concept design imagines Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam with a tactical Green Arrow suit for the DCEU movies.
With the DC Extended Universe pushing forward with a focus on telling smaller stories with singular heroes, many fans wonder which other costumed vigilantes will make the jump to the silver screen. Thanks to the popularity of The CW’s Green Arrow series, there’s always been an ongoing question on whether Warner Bros. and DC will give Oliver Queen his own solo movie in the DCEU. And it seems like there’s only one rightful candidate for the role. Unfortunately for Stephen Amell, Charlie Hunnam is who comic readers want to see as the Emerald Archer in Star City.
The current future of the hero lies in the Green Arrow and The Canaries series which is still in development at The CW. It sees Oliver Queen’s daughter, Mia Queen, taking on the mantle after her father’s death in the Crisis on Infinite Earths event. But if Charlie Hunnam does get a shot at the Green Arrow role for the DCEU, Instagram user “saarukan.psd” has already created an ideal look for the star. The concept design gives Hunnam a tactical battle suit for the hero, which looks like it takes some cues from Christian Bale’s Batman costume in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy. Take a look at Charlie Hunnam as Green Arrow for the DCEU below.
