‘Shazam!’ Star Zachary Levi Celebrates 1-Year Anniversary With New Photo

Shazam! star Zachary Levi celebrated the DC film’s one-year anniversary by sharing an awesome new photo of himself in the costume.

It’s been one-year since Zachary Levi’s Shazam joined the DC Extended Universe. Now, work on a sequel is underway with director David F. Sandberg currently working on the script. The upcoming Shazam! sequel was originally going to start filming this year with an April 1, 2022 release date, but will most likely be delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Shazam! is highly regarded as one of the best DC Extended Universe films to date. With the film passing its one-year anniversary, Zachary Levi decided to share a new image on Instagram of the Shazam suit. You can see the awesome image and what Zachary Levi had to say below.

Do you hope Shazam keeps his suit from the first film in the sequel? Sound-off in the comments section below!

Here is the official synopsis for film:

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quick.

Directed by David F. Sandberg, the film stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans and Djimon Hounsou.

Shazam! is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
