Stephen Amell’s ‘Arrow’ Final Season Premiere Will Be “Nostalgic Of The Pilot”

Beth Schwartz, showrunner of The CW’s hit DC Comics series Arrow starring Stephen Amell reveals that the final season premiere will harken back to the pilot.

While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Schwartz revealed that the entire final season of Stephen Amell’s Arrow will not only have elements that reflect back to the show’s first season, but the first episode will be specifically nostalgic to the very first episode:

“This season is definitely a reflection of all the previous seasons. The premiere is very nostalgic of the pilot and of season one, visiting those sets, like Queen mansion, that we all love and we all have [people] we’ve tried to bring back a few times — those characters that were really there from the very beginning and helped to create this series and what made it so successful.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard that Arrow season 8 would be exploring elements of the first season. Stephen Amell teased that the classic Green Arrow suit from the first season could make an appearance.

Given that this is the last season of Arrow, it makes sense that Schwartz and the rest of the writers plan on harkening back to the first season and pilot to bring the story full circle. By being nostalgic of the pilot, this allows the writers and Stephen Amell to pay tribute to the first season while also rewarding longtime fans for their commitment to the series after all these years.
