‘The Marvels’: Lashana Lynch Reveals Which MCU Heroes She Wants To Work With

Lashana Lynch has big ambitions for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! The Marvels star breaks down what other heroes she’d want to work with in the future.

Despite Maria Rambeau being set up as a relatively minor supporting character in Captain Marvel, Lashana Lynch has been busy in the MCU. She played two variants in as many years: One as Captain Marvel in Multiverse of Madness and another as Binary in The Marvels.

Yet, it seems the star has bigger ambitions beyond cameos. Lashana Lynch was recently asked about Maria Rambeau’s future in the MCU. Specifically, which other heroes she’d want to work with. The Marvels star answered that, while she doesn’t know the future of her character, she’d love to expand beyond the Captain Marvel supporting cast.

“That’s a big question. Firstly, I don’t know. I don’t know anything. Because I know that whenever we’re asked a Marvel question, it’s like we know something, but I genuinely don’t,” Lynch told ScreenRant. “So this is a fresh answer. I think Teyonah Parris is absolutely excellent. It’s been an honor being able to play her mom, which is strange because we’re a similar age.”

“So her…The original Avengers lot, I just love them and I didn’t get to work with everyone in my time in the franchise, so they would be brilliant to bring back. I love Tom Holland. He’s brilliant.”

“But there’s also new, fresh faces that haven’t been in the MCU yet that I just think that would be beautiful, to be able to really see some new energy with some of the most classic Marvel energy,” She finished. “I think that would make…And even play on that within the story. I don’t know, maybe.”

Binary’s Future In The MCU

The Marvels set up an interesting future between Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau and Lashana Lynchia’s Maria Rambeau, now seemingly using the guise of Binary. It would be more shocking to hear there weren’t plans for the two to continue their journey in the future of the MCU.

It also wouldn’t be out of the question for Lashana Lynch to appear in a future Avengers film with the other actors she mentioned. Both Binary and Captain Marvel were members of the team (albeit both when Carol Danvers was using the identity). In fact, Beast was also a member of the Avengers, potentially implying that the tease at the end of The Marvels wasn’t as X-Men-focused as some fans first thought.
