Avengers: Doomsday Smashes Box Office Pre-Sales Records With Explosive Global Demand

Avengers: Doomsday has set a new pre-sales milestone ahead of its theatrical debut. The upcoming MCU movie features a star-studded ensemble cast, including Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans.

Despite being more than two months away from release, Avengers: Doomsday is already dominating the box office. It has now set a new pre-sales record, with more than $100 million in tickets sold worldwide.

The growing demand for the superhero epic is evident from its strong performance in international markets. In Brazil and the U.K., Doomsday has become the fastest movie to surpass $1 million in pre-release ticket sales.

Record-breaking international ticket sales signal massive opening weekend potential

Since advance ticket sales began in July, Avengers: Doomsday has witnessed a spike in demand. Last month, it reached $40 million in domestic pre-sales, 100 days ahead of release. It was the first time a movie had reached this figure through advance ticket sales in North America alone.

Early projections suggest that Doomsday could gross more than $1 billion worldwide during its opening weekend. It’s also on track to beat Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘s opening weekend record of $360 million in North America.

With massive hype building among Marvel fans, Doomsday has sparked insane predictions over its global box office collection. Early projections suggest the movie could reach the magical figure of $3 billion worldwide.

In that scenario, it would also become the highest-grossing MCU movie ever, surpassing Avengers: Endgame. The 2019 blockbuster, however, is showing no signs of relinquishing its crown. In fact, the Endgame: Encore rerelease has pushed the film’s worldwide total to $2.925 billion. Currently, it’s the highest-grossing movie of all time.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, 2026. Its cast also includes Chris Hemsworth, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, David Harbour, James Marsden, Ian McKellen, and Patrick Stewart, among others.
