Avengers Endgame: Encore will no longer be released in Kuwait after its planned screenings were canceled. The news went viral after the official Instagram account of VOX Cinemas in Kuwait issued a message while informing fans about the ban.
“Avengers: Endgame Encore will no longer be released in Kuwait. We sincerely apologize for any disappointment this may cause.” The message also revealed that customers who had already booked tickets would receive a full refund.
The Avengers Endgame: Encore ban came after cinemas had already sold tickets
The latest update regarding the ban in Kuwait is surprising, considering that the tickets were sold out in the country ahead of Endgame: Encore’s release. However, it’s not the first time that Marvel’s blockbuster 2019 movie has witnessed such a situation in Kuwait.
When it was originally released seven years ago, the film was shown with some cuts due to Kuwait’s censorship laws, according to TwoFortyEightAm. But this time, it’s been completely banned, leaving the locals extremely upset. There’s no way they will get to watch the rerelease of the film in the country on the big screen.
Avengers Endgame: Encore holds a lot of significance for the MCU because of its direct connection with another anticipated movie, Avengers: Doomsday.
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have previously revealed that fans must watch Endgame: Encore before Doomsday’s arrival because there’s “new footage that illustrates that connection for you.”
