BBC Announces Doctor Who Season 24 Blu-ray Collection With Special Trailer

Hardcore fans of Doctor Who will be pleased to hear that Doctor Who – The Collection is getting a new installment. The BBC just announced that Season 24 of Doctor Who will get an HD restyling before hitting the blu-ray. It originally aired back in 1987, with Sylvester McCoy playing the Seventh Doctor and Bonnie Langford as the Doctor’s companion, Mel Bush. The upcoming Doctor Who: The Collection – Season 24 will include Time and the RaniParadise Towers, Delta and the Bannermen, and Dragonfire.

For the occasion, the broadcaster has also dropped a funny trailer full of references from the past. The video features Langford’s Mel Bush dealing with some old acquaintances in a Shark Tank-like contest for her approval. But someone unexpected visits her and forces her to change her plans. You can watch the announcement trailer in the player below.

With all episodes newly remastered, this Blu-ray box set also contains extensive and exclusive special features including:
