And all I can say is that we’re coming back with fire. I can’t wait.”

The character’s origin film was greenlit and shot before Gunn and Peter Safran took the reins at DC Studios, meaning Jaime Reyes started life as a project sitting outside whatever shared universe would eventually take shape.
