What is Terrestrial with Craig Robinson about?

Written by Samuel Johnson and Connor Diedrich, the project combines dark comedy with science-fiction thriller elements. The story follows Allen Perkins, a rising sci-fi writer who hosts a chaotic weekend reunion with his college friends at his lavish Hollywood Hills mansion.

Allen’s life seems to have changed dramatically, as he was once a struggling writer living in his car. In the present day, he owns a luxury mansion complete with a fountain and a vintage Mustang, as seen in the trailer. He invites his college friends over to celebrate his sudden success, but they have another reason for visiting their old friend: his worried mother has asked them to check on his well-being. During the gathering, Allen claims to have landed a major book and movie deal.

Things become increasingly concerning for the friends after noticing Allen’s unsettling behavior. His account of recent events contains glaring gaps, and he also struggles to give a convincing summary of his supposedly major sci-fi novel. The mystery deepens when the group encounters strange occurrences around the property, including a mysterious covered guesthouse.

Terrestrial has a runtime of 94 minutes. As of writing, the film currently holds a 74% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 35 reviews.
