Charlie Cox has a long memory, and Mike Colter knows it. The Daredevil star used his New York Comic Con appearance to roast his fellow Marvel actor over a spoiler that briefly broke the internet, and he delivered the punchline with obvious relish.

Colter, who plays Luke Cage, accidentally revealed that Luke, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist would appear in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3. Cox called the fallout exactly what it was. “Yeah, that was a s— show. Yeah,” Cox said at NYCC.
“The only good thing about it was every day on set after that, you know on set you get given your sides, which have the scene numbers and the lines for the day. Every time I saw him with a set of sides, I would be like, is Mike allowed to have these guys? Are we sure he should have anything like that? So he felt terrible about it.”
The leak traced back to April, when Colter posted a group selfie with Finn Jones and Krysten Ritter on Instagram. He captioned it, “Been a while….” Jones replied in the comments, “Well, guess the cat’s out of the bag…” Colter also shared a photo with Cox and Deborah Ann Woll, then deleted it once he realized it spoiled Season 2’s ending. Screenshots spread anyway.
Mike Colter previously played Luke Cage across Netflix’s Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and The Defenders, so his ties to the franchise run deep. Daredevil: Born Again, created by Dario Scardapane, Matt Corman, and Chris Ord, launched on Disney+ on March 4, 2025. Season 2 premiered on March 24, 2026, and Season 3 lands in March 2027.
Charlie Cox’s teasing suggests the on-set ribbing never stopped, and Colter probably still checks his sides twice.
