First revealed via a teaser image back in February, when Toy Fair might have happened in a normal year, Mezco‘s Fantastic Four figure set is ready for preorders. And while the price tag of $420 may seem steep, this is one steel box that packs in a lot of extras. And we’re not just talking about a fully detailed bonus figure of H.E.R.B.I.E. That’s right, the infamous robot sidekick originally created for the cartoons is here with opening computers and bio-lab, as well as removable jet blasts. Over the years, at least some fans have come to like the li’l dude.
But beyond that, Mr. Fantastic includes a swap-out stretched torso, plus extra enlarged hands and long neck. Invisible Woman packs psionic blasts, shields and more. Human Torch can “fly” on a light-up flame base and transform with snap-on effects. The Thing packs an original sculpt, as well as trenchcoat disguise and lamp-post weapon. In addition, each figure has at least three interchangeable heads. Reed, Sue, and Johnny feature tailored costumes on top of fully poseable figure bodies.
This box set should arrive in April 2022. Get a better look at the figures in our gallery below. Do we espy a new Doom figure hint?
