
Netflix and One Piece Season 3 just dropped four major casting reveals that finally complete the Alabasta saga’s most pivotal players. The hit live-action adaptation adds key allies and fierce rebels ahead of its biggest battle yet.
One Piece Season 3 cast finds its Koza, Pell, Chaka and Toto
Netflix has revealed four new additions to the One Piece Season 3 roster, Variety confirmed. The Netflix Anime account shared the news on social media on August 23.
Emilio Sakraya, recognized for Rheingold, will step into the role of Koza. Omid Abtahi, who previously starred in The Mandalorian, will bring Toto to life. Jamie Ward from The Gentlemen has secured the part of Pell onscreen. Nabeel Khan, featured in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, will portray Chaka.
The upcoming season holds the official title One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta. Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero and Taz Skylar return as the core crew. Charithra Chandran, Mikaela Hoover, Joe Manganiello, Lera Abova and Sendhil Ramamurthy rejoin the ensemble cast. Earlier announcements also introduced Cole Escola, Xolo Maridueña, Daisy Head and Awdo Awdo as fresh faces.
The new season centers on Luffy and the Straw Hats navigating rising conflict in Alabasta. According to the official synopsis, a secret rebellion driven by a powerful Warlord of the Sea threatens the kingdom. Sir Crocodile and his Baroque Works syndicate aim to seize Alabasta for their own gain. The Straw Hats must confront both a civil war and a dangerous adversary to protect Vivi’s homeland.
Joe Tracz and Ian Stokes lead the project as co-showrunners, writers, and executive producers. Creator Eiichiro Oda executive produces alongside Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements through Tomorrow Studios. Shueisha partnered with Tomorrow Studios and Netflix to develop the live-action adaptation.
Filming for the third season has already concluded in Cape Town, South Africa.
