Resident Evil Is a Living Nightmare in Welcome to Raccoon City Trailer

Before the end of the month, evil will return to residing in theaters as Welcome to Raccoon City officially debuts. Just days after Halloween, Sony has debuted a pretty nightmarish trailer for the Resident Evil reboot. The new video briefly explains that something is rotten in Raccoon City due to the Umbrella Corp.’s experiments. It features plenty of fresh footage full of freakish monsters. None of the local inhabitants is safe after dusk. It will be up to a fearless band of heroes to secure the city from the abnormal situation, and discover the secrets hidden in a remote mansion.

The official synopsis for the upcoming feature reads:

“Returning to the origins of the massively popular Resident Evil franchise, fan and filmmaker Johannes Roberts brings the games to life for a whole new generation of fans. In Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.”

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City will haunt theaters starting November 24.
