Fandango is offering an extended preview of Brand New Day shortly after the film’s digital release. The first nine minutes of the film are available for free. Fans can also head over to the official Fandango At Home website to buy or rent the entire movie.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s first nine minutes reveal what Peter Parker is facing
Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens with Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker in his room working on his Spidey suit and web shooters. Doctor Strange’s magic spell made the world forget that Peter Parker exists, including his best friend Ned and his girlfriend MJ. For four years after the event, Peter chooses not to reintroduce himself to protect his loved ones.
The first few minutes show a montage of Peter anonymously fighting criminals across New York City while coping with the grief of losing Aunt May. He often visits her grave with flowers before going back to his hero work.
The opening sequence also emphasizes Peter’s growing loneliness, showing him isolated in various locations. He often checks Ned’s social media, wishing things could be different.
One day, on his way to get more flowers for Aunt May, Peter speaks with NYPD Detective Jean DeWolff on the phone. During the conversation, he gets an alert on his phone about a new criminal activity nearby. Peter hangs up and changes into his suit to rush to the scene.
The preview then shows a breathtaking sequence of Spider-Man swinging across the city before it ends. The first nine minutes of the film set the stage for the threats that lie ahead for Peter, and the allies he makes along the way.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day became a major box-office success following its July 2026 release. The movie currently ranks as the third-highest-grossing film of all time after Avengers: Endgame and Avatar.
