Though it was previously thought that a Star Wars Outlaws release date window was revealed, Ubisoft has clarified that these recent reports were incorrect.
IGN reported on a Disney Parks post that stated the upcoming video game Star Wars Outlaws would be releasing in “late 2024.” This would have narrowed down the title’s release date window, which has been a more blanket 2024.
Shortly after the news went live, IGN noted that Ubisoft reached out to the outlet and said that the late 2024 timing had been updated to a “correct” release window of 2024, as it previously was. The Disney Parks post now reflects that change, with the word “late” being gone.
“Experience the first-ever open world Star Wars game, set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi,” reads the game’s official description. “Explore distinct planets across the galaxy, both iconic and new. Risk it all as Kay Vess, a scoundrel seeking freedom and the means to start a new life, along with her companion Nix. Fight, steal, and outwit your way through the galaxy’s crime syndicates as you join the galaxy’s most wanted. If you’re willing to take the risk, the galaxy is full of opportunity.”
Who is developing Star Wars Outlaws?
Star Wars Outlaws is being developed by Massive Entertainment and is set to release on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in 2024. It is a single-player open world action-adventure game that lets players assume the role of outlaw scoundrel Kay Vess as they explore the Star Wars universe.
