What do we know about Stranger Things Season 5?

Production on Stranger Things Season 5 officially began on January 8, 2024. Filming was originally meant to take place last year but was delayed because of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) strikes.

The final season will once again star Wolfhard as Mike, Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Sadie Sink as Max Mayfield, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Maya Hawke as Robin Buckley, Amybeth McNulty as Vickie, Priah Ferguson as Erica Sinclair, Cara Buono as Karen Wheeler, and Jamie Campbell Bower as Vecna.

Additionally, Terminator’s Linda Hamilton has joined the cast in an undisclosed role.

Plot details for the final season of Stranger Things remain under wraps at this time; however, it was previously announced the first episode of Season 5 will be titled “Chapter One: The Crawl.”

Stranger Things, which initially premiered on Netflix in July 2026, was created by Matt and Ross Duffer. The Duffer Brothers are also producing the series’ final season alongside Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, Ian Paterson, and Curtis Gwinn.

The first four seasons of Stranger Things are currently streaming on Netflix, while Stranger Things Season 5 does not yet have a release date.
