Supergirl’s Rotten Tomatoes Score Achieves Dubious DCU Record for Milly Alcock Movie

Milly Alcock‘s Supergirl movie has set a unique DCU record on Rotten Tomatoes, but not in a positive way. The latest superhero film also features Jason Momoa, who is playing the character of Lobo.

What is Supergirl’s Rotten Tomatoes score?

The Supergirl movie hasn’t received the critical acclaim its creators were hoping for. At the time of this article’s publication, Milly Alcock’s superhero outing holds an abysmal Tomatometer score of just 56%, based on more than 100 reviews, on Rotten Tomatoes.

While these are still early reactions, the score may fluctuate as more reviews are added. With its poor score, Supergirl is currently the lowest-rated DCU project on Rotten Tomatoes.

Other titles, including movies and TV shows released in the past, have all managed to impress critics. In the top spot is 2024’s animated TV series Creature Commandos. It currently holds a stellar Tomatometer score of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. Then comes the second season of Peacemaker, from 2025, which holds an impressive Tomatometer score of 94%.

In third place is 2025’s Superman movie, featuring David Corenswet in the titular role of Clark Kent/Kal-El. Directed by James Gunn, Superman received a solid Tomatometer score of 83%.

In addition to its mixed reviews, Supergirl’s box office projections have also softened. Previously projected to open at roughly $55 million domestically, the film is now tracking closer to $45 million. And that also depends on whether the latest box office juggernauts like Toy Story 5 and Obsession end up underperforming.

Supergirl is said to be a standalone film. However, recently, director Craig Gillespie opened up about a potential sequel. But that depends on how other DCU projects set up Kara Zor-El. The star cast of the next DCU film includes Eve Ridley, Matthias Schoenaerts, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, Ferdinand Kingsley, and Diarmaid Murtagh, alongside Alcock and Momoa.

Supergirl will be released in U.S. theaters on June 26, 2026.
