Superhero Hype’s Best Amazon Toy and Collectibles Deals for Sept 29

Superhero Hype’s Best Amazon Toy and Collectibles Deals for Sept 29

Movies and restaurants may be in a state of flux, but the toy industry keeps cranking things out. And with the family stuck at home, they’re going to need some new playthings, much like the Emperor Ming. In this ongoing series, Superhero Hype takes a look at some of the better deals for Sept 29 that Amazon.com has running as of publication time. Please note that all deals are subject to change or sell out at any time based on supply and demand.

It’s a mutant family reunion, as Wanda and Pietro flank their magnetic personality of a father in this special three-pack. Magic and magnetic effects, extra hands, and a bonus head for Magneto add to the display options in play.

Amazing Yamaguchi Marvel figures offer 40 points of articulation on a six-inch body with crazy stylized detail. Carnage includes interchangeable sets of eyes, tendrils, hands, and weapons for ultimate customizing. He also comes with a stand for dynamic action posing.

The six-inch G.I. Joe Classified line turned out way more successful than Hasbro anticipated, with many key characters scarce and hard to find. Not Storm Shadow! An Amazon exclusive, he’s right here at the link above. Now see who can find archrival Snake Eyes first — you or him?

Enjoy a dozen 3.8 inch zombies with mix-and-match, pull-apart bodies! Similar to McFarlane’s Walking Dead brick-build minifigs, these li’l guys offer hours of fun and customizing possibilities. Just don’t lose them to the carpet and vacuum.

Taiki Waititi and Jeff Goldblum would at one time have seemed the unlikeliest pair to ever portray super-powered Marvel characters, but here we are. Everyone loves Grandmaster and Korg, and collectors should especially love paying $20 less than the original price.

This 14-inch Spider-Man statue includes a unique feature — a working crosswalk signal! Spidey’s too busy hanging out to cross the street, but alert any other figurines on your shelf as to whether or not they may “walk,” or be told “Don’t walk.” The third option to swing on webs is only available to one New Yorker at this time.

Hot Toys figures seldom get discounted, ever, so if Carol Danvers is desired, act now. Even a 6% price reduction is a pretty big deal. Featuring helmeted and unhelmeted heads with light-up effects, as well as Goose the cat/Flerken, this makes for the ultimate Captain Marvel movie figure.

Before DC Collectibles folded, DC Prime was supposed to be an “ultimate” collector line, in a nine-inch scale. Definitive, artist-created takes on DC icons were going to make up the series, but in the end only Batman ever saw production, and now he’s 22% off and not really in scale with most other figures. Still, with his unique design from concept designer Riccardo Federici and sculptor and figure designer Wonil Song, this 23-point articulated figure with wired cape and extra heads stands tall above all others.

Every detail of Gal Gadot in her movie costume comes through in this deluxe 6-inch figure that puts similarly scaled superheroes to shame — and is priced accordingly. Still, $71.77 is a bargain for a figure that normally costs $80. This Diana replica absolutely looks like a Wonder Woman, indeed.

Mezco One:12 Collective figures rarely go this low in price. That could just be because Freddy Krueger has seen figure form a lot over the years, but seldom this detailed. He’s packed with four heads, including one with a tear-away face, multiple hand, and even a slime-spurting severed finger stump. Oh yeah — and it’s the original movie version, before he had jokes, and just wanted to mutilate. Reduced from $80, this deal is more dream than nightmare.
