Marvel Studios promised “one final surprise” in the VisionQuest finale trailer, and fans are convinced they already found who’s hiding in plain sight. Eagle-eyed viewers spotted suspicious gaps and visual clues that suggest a beloved character was digitally scrubbed from key shots.
VisionQuest fans think Billy was cut from the new trailer
Marvel Studios dropped a new promo for the VisionQuest season finale, and fans on X quickly spotted something suspicious. The official post teased “one final surprise” for the episode, which streams Tuesday at 6 PM PT on Disney+. Fans immediately began speculating that Billy Maximoff was digitally removed from a key shot in the trailer.
One user posted a screenshot from the promo and wrote, “I know Billy is here too, but they removed him to avoid revealing him.” Another fan pointed out a noticeable gap between two characters in the frame. “There is a lot of space between Vision and Paladin… Billy is a skinny kid, he could fit,” they wrote. Meanwhile, a different user suggested the hidden figure could actually be Edith.
Several other fans latched onto specific visual details to support the theory. One user noticed candles in a shot and reacted with, “Candles???? It’s Billy!!!!!!” Similarly, another asked, “Is that Tommy walking into a room with candles… like seance type candles?” Both comments referenced the magical elements closely associated with Billy’s character from WandaVision and Agatha All Along.
The speculation grew even louder under Marvel Studios’ official post, which racked up over 2.1 million views. One user replied confidently, “I KNOW BILLY IS IN THIS SCENE.” Another pointed to subtle visual evidence and wrote, “Yep, those are his nails.” A different fan declared, “OUR BOY BILLY IS THE FINAL SURPRISE.”
Marvel Studios has not confirmed or denied Billy’s appearance in the finale. The show has kept major cameos under wraps throughout its first season. Fans will find out whether these theories hold up when the episode arrives on Disney+ next Tuesday.
