This new survival-horror nightmare could satisfy Resident Evil fans before Zach Cregger’s movie arrives
While there’s still time for Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil‘s release, avid fans can try a new kind of nightmarish experience based on the three-decade-old blockbuster survival-horror video game franchise. The Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas is bringing the iconic world of Resident Evil to life, with an all-new deadly takeover.
The summer horror experience will see guests engaging in many “fan-favorite moments, solve interactive puzzles, meet legendary characters, and witness epic battles against the undead.” This unique Resident Evil living nightmare will test participants’ survival skills, beginning July 9 through August 30, 2026, at the ultimate horror experience.
The experience will feature a six-zone setup, presenting an alternate Resident Evil world. The guests will have to go through the six zones inside the Universal Horror Unleashed to help contain the outbreak that has taken over. Zone 1: Arrival will present a battered Welcome to Raccoon City sign, voices of cops trying to contain the outbreak spread by Umbrella Corporation’s T-Virus.
Moving forward, Zone 2: Mission allows fans to reach the Raccoon City Police Department to solve intriguing puzzles. In Zone 3: Infection, they will enter the heart of the infected zone, being face-to-face with deadly zombies. Amid all of this, fans will also see a familiar face, the iconic Ada Wong.

After entering Zone 4: Combat, fans will finally meet famous protagonists, namely Jill Valentine, Leon S. Kennedy, and Claire Redfield. This zone will be all about battling the undead alongside the characters and going against some of the formidable Resident Evil villains.
Once everything is done, guests will be invited to take photos and interact with the characters. Then, in Zone 5: Escape, they’re set for the last stretch of the entire experience, to survive the final mission.
Those who manage to do that will then enter Zone 6: Aftermath, where they can step inside Umbrella Corporation. There, they will be able to dine on limited-time themed food. Plus, cocktails inspired by the T-Virus and its mutations will be available for purchase as well.
