Episode 2, “Trust Fall,” continues the 2016 storyline. Hal and John investigate separately, uncovering aliens, Manhunters, and the Guardians. During training, John struggles to fly with his ring. Instead, he accidentally creates a tiny green bird.
The strange bird stays alive without the ring and even protects John. Hal realizes the bird may be connected to John’s powers. However, it looks like another failed training attempt, but something strange happens after he removes his ring.
