Clearly, BATGIRL wasn’t going to be part of Matt Reeves’ THE BATMAN-verse.  But the question was would it be part of the post-THE FLASH DC on film world or would it simply be its own thing?

Well, according to a new report by THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, it looks like it’ll be part of the post-THE FLASH DC on film world…maybe.  With all the craziness in THE FLASH and how it’s set to reboot/reset/re-something the “shared universe” DC movie projects, who the hell knows!  ANYWAY…

According to THR, J.K. Simmons is “in talks” to play Commissioner Jim Gordon again in the coming HBO Max BATGIRL film.  Fine by me because I really like J.K. Simmons and I thought he was a great choice for Gordon when he was originally cast for JUSTICE LEAGUE.

At one point, the scuttlebutt was that WB/HBOM/the filmmakers were looking to cast another actor for Gordon.  That either wasn’t the case or plans changed.
