Daredevil: Born Again is set to combine the worlds of the Daredevil Netflix show and the Marvel Cinematic Universe into something new, but familiar. A new rumor suggests that one of the familiar faces we’ll be seeing is Alaqua Cox’s Echo from the Hawkeye series.
This rumor comes from The Hot Mic with Jeff Sneider, who says that he’s heard that Cox will return as Echo in the show. This rumor comes as no surprise to many fans given it was recently reported that both Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin will be “key figures” in the upcoming Echo series. It seems as though Daredevil’s story in the MCU will be closely tied to Echo’s in whatever form it takes.
This isn’t the only bit of casting news to come out of the Daredevil: Born Again show. Recently it was reported than Jon Bernthal will return as the Punisher for the series. However, one of Bernthal’s co-stars Ayelet Zurer, who played Vanessa Fisk in Daredevil, has been recast in favor of a new actress for the role. Other fan-favorite characters such as Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page and Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson seem to not be returning for the new series.
What to expect from the new Daredevil series
Little is known of Daredevil: Born Again, with plot details being kept under wraps. Jon Bernthal, Margarita Levieva and Michael Gandolfini are set to appear in the series opposite Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. Matt Corman and Chris Ord are writing and executive producing for Marvel.
Born Again is rumored to feature the return of Matt Murdock’s best friend and business partner Foggy Nelson, played by Elden Henson. Earlier this year, Deborah Ann Woll also expressed her interest in reprising the role of Karen Page for the Disney Plus series. Karen and Foggy were two of the main characters of the original Daredevil series on Netflix, working alongside Matt.
Daredevil: Born Again is currently scheduled to premiere in Spring 2024 on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
