Plenty of rumors have been swirling about actors joining the MCU. However, could Doctor Strange actor Mads Mikkelsen be taking up a new role?

Everyone from Ryan Gosling to Cillian Murphy have been rumored to join the MCU in recent months. However, Mads Mikkelsen may be the first rumored to REJOIN the universe in a new role. According to insider DanielRPK, the Doctor Strange actor is in talks to play a new character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While it hasn’t been disclosed what role Mads Mikkelsen is in talks for, it’s more than likely Doctor Doom given the proximity his casting would be to the filming of Fantastic Four. The actor certainly has enough experience for the role, given Doctor Doom is a master of the mystic arts like Doctor Strange and Kaecilius. However, fans will ultimately have to wait and see if Mikkelsen ends up taking this new role, whatever it is.
