Joe Manganiello revealed a look at the villain from Justice League when showing support for a campaign to see a Deathstroke project on HBO Max.
Although fans have only briefly seen Joe Manganiello in action as Deathstroke in Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max, the general consensus is that he’s perfectly cast in the role and it’d be great to see more from the character. He was originally meant to star in Ben Affleck’s The Batman, explaining in 2020 that Deathstroke would’ve hunted the Caped Crusader like a shark in revenge for something Bruce did to him.
Clearly, DC fans want to see more from Zack Snyder’s Justice League, but they’d also like to see Joe Manganiello get the spotlight as Deathstroke too as a campaign has sprung up to get him a solo project on HBO Max. Manganiello joined in the conversation, showing support for the idea with a new photo of himself wearing the Deathstroke costume behind-the-scenes on the Snyder Cut. He previously mentioned that he would’ve originally starred in Suicide Squad 2 before plans changed and James Gunn was brought onboard. Take a look at Joe Manganiello in the suit below.

Here is the official synopsis for the Snyder Cut:
“In ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.”
