Loki season 2 debuts in just a few short weeks. A teaser starring Miss Minutes debuts a new prime-time release date for the MCU Disney Plus series.
Fans have been waiting two years for the return of their favorite trickster god Loki. With the Disney Plus series releasing in just a few short weeks, Marvel has released a new teaser with Miss Minutes that moves forward the debut of season 2. The newest MCU series will now be taking a prime time slot, premiering at 6 p.m. PST on October 5th ahead of its original October 6th release date.
This change certainly has its pros and cons. With a lack of shows currently on TV due to the ongoing WGA/SAG-AFTRA strike, a prime time slot could encourage viewers to check out Loki season 2 right as it debuts. However, this debut comes only two days after Ahsoka‘s finale on Disney Plus, potentially burning people out on sci-fi action before the MCU series even hits screens. Only time will tell if this new release date gamble will pay off.
Tom Hiddleston is spearheading the cast of Loki season two as the titular God of Mischief. The cast also includes Owen Wilson, Jonathan Majors, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Tara Strong, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Ke Huy Quan and Neil Ellice.
Eric Martin replaced Michael Waldron as the head writer of Loki for its second season. Martin and Waldron also serve as executive producers on the series alongside Tom Hiddleston, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. Benson and Moorhead directed the majority of the episodes for the upcoming season.
Loki season two is expected to premiere October 5th on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
