“Move over, bub!”
John Wick star Keanu Reeves takes over the Wolverine mantle from Hugh Jackman in a cool new concept design for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Keanu Reeves has been involved in his fair share of franchises over the years, but that hasn’t stopped fans and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige himself from wanting to see the actor join the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point. Marvel Studios is about to embark on its fourth phase and eventually, Feige and his team will introduce X-Men and Fantastic Four characters now that they have the rights to them once again. The biggest role everyone is eager to see replaced at some point is Wolverine, now that Hugh Jackman is done with the character.
With Jamie Foxx, Michael Keaton and others reprising their comic book movie roles in future films, there have been rumors that the multiverse could give us Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine. However, many fans including digital artist BossLogic have also imagined Keanu Reeves as the perfect actor to take on the Wolverine role in a future X-Men or Marvel Studios film. Check out this concept design from BossLogic that imagines Reeves battle-scarred as the next Wolverine:
