See Keanu Reeves Replace Hugh Jackman As Wolverine In The MCU

Should the legendary mutant be the actor’s first Marvel role?

Keanu Reeves becomes Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine replacement in a stunning new concept for the MCU franchise.

As Marvel fans patiently wait for the next chapter of the MCU as well as the inevitable reveal of how the studio will reintroduce mutants on the silver screen, this new piece of fan art imagines Keanu Reeves as Wolverine for a future film. Reeves has been open about wanting to play Wolverine for most of his career, saying he was too late to take on the role, but praised Hugh Jackman’s work as the iconic X-Men character.

Fans will next see Keanu Reeves on the big screen in The Matrix 4, but many would like to see him enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point. Marvel’s Kevin Feige has mentioned that the studio has spoken to Reeves for a number of roles in the past, so it’s seemingly only a matter of time. Digital artist  “pabloruizzx” on Instagram imagined what Reeves as Wolverine in the MCU could look like, giving the actor the yellow and black costume that was only teased in Hugh Jackman’s time with the hero. Take a look below.

Would you like to see Keanu Reeves as Wolverine in the MCU? Or do you prefer the star as Neo in The Matrix and as the lead in John Wick? Who else would be a good choice for the role? Let us know in the comments!

Here is the official synopsis for Hugh Jackman’s Logan:

In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.

Directed by James Mangold, Logan stars Hugh Jackman, Sir Patrick Stewart, Dafne Keen, Stephen Merchant, Richard E. Grant, Eriq LaSalle, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Boyd Holbrook. The film is available on Digital HD, Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
