See The Punisher’s Jon Bernthal As Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine Successor

We can already hear him saying “bub”.

A new concept design imagines The Punisher star Jon Bernthal as Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine successor for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Although most Marvel fans would like to see The Punisher star Jon Bernthal reprise his role as Frank Castle in a Disney Plus series or on the big screen, a a fan-made image shows him as the next actor to pick up Wolverine’s Adamantium claws after Hugh Jackman. Bernthal joins a list of actors like Antony Starr, Taron Egerton and Daniel Radcliffe as candidates fans would like to see play Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It’s easy to imagine Jon Bernthal replacing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, especially with his gruff voice alongside that incredible performance in The Punisher. If it came down to picking between the two roles, it seems likely that the star would pick Frank Castle, since he’s previously mentioned that he’d love to return for a third season of the series. You can see The Punisher star Jon Bernthal as Wolverine below.

What do you make of the design? Would you like to see Jon Bernthal as Wolverine instead of another season of The Punisher? Comment below and let us know!
