Stephen Amell Open To ‘Arrow’ Limited Series On HBO Max Or Netflix

Stephen Amell is down to return as Arrow for a limited series on HBO Max or Netflix.

The CW’s smash-hit series Arrow called it curtains in early 2020, closing off an eight-year-long arc for Oliver Queen. The series was responsible for launching The CW’s uber-successful Arrowverse, which currently houses five shows that just keep getting better and better. While the Arrow finale was bittersweet and conclusive, it also left the door open for Stephen Amell to return to the role.

In a recent chat with Smallville‘s Michael Rosenbaum on his podcast Inside of You, Stephen Amell revealed that he would be open to returning to Arrow for a limited series on a service like HBO Max or Netflix.

“If I had been approached I wouldn’t say, but I have not. I was thinking about this question as I drove here and … If the opportunity ever came up to like do six to eight episodes of Arrow as, like, a limited series on Netflix or HBO Max – or something like that, or on The CW, as the case may be – I think that would be amazing.”

This isn’t confirmation or anything for a new limited series, but this is the first step in Stephen Amell being open to it. The Arrow finale is still fresh in most fan’s minds, but in a couple of years, once nostalgia kicks in, a limited revival series would be perfect, especially for HBO Max!

Here is the official synopsis for Arrow:

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice. In the wake of discovering what his future holds, Oliver will find himself pit against his most challenging battle yet, one that will leave the multiverse hanging in the balance. In Arrow’s final season, Oliver Queen is forced to confront the reality of what it means to be a hero.
